School of Food and Bioengineering

Established in 1984, the School of Bioengineering has accumulated a great deal of experience and cultivated a great number of professionals. The School offers 4 undergraduate programs in Bioengineering, Food Science and Engineering, Food Quality and Safety and Pharmaceutical Engineering and a master degree of first-class discipline on Food Science and Safety and an engineering master degree in the field of Food Engineering.

There are around 20 professors and associate professors, of whom 90% have obtained doctoral and master degrees. And most teachers have been abroad for further education and scientific research.

The School has always given the priority to experiment, therefore, a great number of laboratories have been set up through 30-year development. It has 17 professional laboratories including Biochemistry Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Chemical Engineering Laboratory, etc. These laboratories are equipped with advanced experimental devices and facilities and cover an area of 3000 square meters.
